Serving our Queen's community with
comprehensive quality care
Who We Are
Mount Sinai Queens offers quality outpatient, emergency, and inpatient medical services to the residents of western Queens and beyond.
Located in Astoria, Mount Sinai Queens is a 235-bed licensed acute-care facility, providing adult medical and surgical services, with a team of nearly 500 physicians representing about 40 medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties. The hospital has been awarded Magnet status for excellence in nursing care.
Recognized as a leader in stroke care, Mount Sinai Queens is designated by the New York State Department of Health and The Joint Commission as a primary stroke center. Mount Sinai Queens also provides extensive outpatient services, including primary and specialty care; occupational, speech, and physical therapy; outpatient surgery; cancer care; and a range of radiological testing.
Between the physicians and staff, 35 languages are spoken, which is just one of the many ways that Mount Sinai Queens serves the needs of its culturally diverse community.
In 2016, Mount Sinai Queens will open a six-story, 130,000-square-foot building adjacent to the main hospital that will house an expanded, state-of-the-art Emergency Department and a new Ambulatory Care Pavilion with operating suites, advanced imaging and laboratory services, and an outpatient physician medical practice. The new building will provide patients with comprehensive multidisciplinary care in one location. Other improvements will include a new two-story entrance to the existing hospital, the renovation and expansion of the hospital lobby, a new community education center and café, five new elevator banks, and an updated hospital façade that creates and unifies the look of the campus.
