New opening for post-doctoral fellow to participate in NIH-funded research laboratory that investigates mechanisms leading to initiation and progression of proteinuric kidney disease. Research focuses on molecular pathways in kidney podocytes, cells that regulate kidney filtration and are universally injured in proteinuric illness. Experiments will require extensive mouse work, PCR, western blotting, immunostaining, immunoprecitation, and other standard molecular techniques. Applicants will be expected to be capable of planning and troubleshooting experiments and assisting manuscript preparation. Prior laboratory experience with expertise in molecular biology required.
