A Post-Doctoral position is available in the Department of Radiology/TMII for an NIH funded project to validate non-invasive imaging biomarkers based on multiparametric MRI and ARFI US for the quantification of physiologic changes in flow/perfusion and stiffness in the liver and spleen in relation with fibrosis/cirrhosis and Portal Hypertension. The Post-Doctoral candidate will be responsible for image acquisition and processing of MR Elastography (MRE) techniques including EPI and 3D MRE, to assess stiffness in the liver and spleen secondary to portal hypertension.
The candidate should have a PhD in Medical Physics with practical experience in MR Elastography, fMRI, and DTI image acquisition and analysis. The candidate should have solid knowledge of image processing using computational (MATLAB) and statistical (FSL) methods. Prior experience with image analysis using Brain Voyager and Image J, will be a plus.
The ideal candidate should be independent, self-motivated, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
