Roles & Responsibilities:
 
Ability to take the patient’s menu order on a hand held device, in a professional and courteous manner. Work in kitchen area to set up trays, deliver trays to assigned Nursing unit and pick up soiled trays after patients have eaten. Return soiled tray to the kitchen area to be washed and sanitized for the next meal.  Assist the patient to open products on trays as needed, under the direction of the Food and Nutrition Supervisors and Managers. Able to work in other areas of the kitchen as assigned including but not limited to preparation of areas for service, sanitation, ware washing, cold food prep, plating of food, or other related tasks.  
 

 

Requirements:

 

  1. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. HACCP Certified / State Food Handlers Certification Preferred
  3. Must have basic math, grammar, computer and key boarding skills.
  4. Must have interpersonal skills, performs service recovery necessary to effectively interact with patients, families, employees and staff.
  5. Ability to walk to assigned nursing units several times per day.
  6. Previous hospital Food Service menu processing a plus.
  7. Detail Oriented
