Responsible for daily production and preparation of food for the cafeteria. Cooks hot and cold food items as specified, following recipes where appropriate. Maintain quality and sanitary food standards. Confirm that food deliveries and their invoices are accurate. Perform other related duties as required. Excellent knife and cooking skills. Must have good verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate ability to maintain effective relationships with management, employees and the general public. Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines are essential, as well as the ability to work well with others, prioritize and take initiative. Knowledge of purchasing helpful. 5 years in food service preferred. Culinary education preferred. High School diploma or GED required.
