Mount Sinai Brooklyn (MSB) is seeking Orthopedic Surgeons in both private practice looking to maintain their practice as well as those who wish to join Mount Sinai as an employed physician. Experienced physicians may be considered for the Chief of Orthopedics for the hospital! The Chief will have the unique opportunity to establish some innovative programs for the Hospital, among them it could include an active ED presence which the Midwood community has historically wanted from the Hospital.
The Practice location is at 3131 Kings Highway in the Midwood Section of Brooklyn. The tree-lined streets of Midwood, with many single and multifamily houses at prices that are relatively inexpensive for Brooklyn, attract families of diverse backgrounds. The sidewalks are dotted with basketball hoops and tricycles making visitors question if they are still in New York City.
The practice at 3131 Kings Highway consists of 5 Orthopedic Surgeons, 2 who admit in-patient. Currently the practice provides limited service that generates approximately 100 in-patient and 200 out-patient cases a year. At this time there are no teaching, research, or administrative responsibilities required for this role.
Physicians will provide general Orthopedic services, including joint, spine, pain management, hand surgery, sports medicine and podiatry and are assisted by the PA and PT staff.
