Per Diem Audiologist
Performs and interprets diagnostic audiological testing, counsels patients/families, prepares diagnostic reports and interacts with referring physicians.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Performs basic and specialized diagnostic Audiological tests, including pure-tone testing (air and bone), speech audiometry, and impedance testing. Knowledge of OAE, ABR, and VNG preferred.
2. Prepares written reports, provides counseling to patients/families regarding test results and recommendations.
3. Interacts with other health professionals regarding patient care.
-Master’s Degree in Audiology from an approved program. Recent graduates require a Doctorate in Audiology.
-Knowledge of OAE, ABR and VNG preferred
Minimum Licensing Requirements
New York State licensure as an Audiologist is mandatory.
Minimum Certification Requirements
American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and Fellow American Academy of Audiology (FAAA) are optional.
