Roles & Responsibilities:

Assists the Medical Affairs Manager in the credentialing and re-credentialing process for Physicians and Allied Health Staff and other duties as requested.  Assists in gathering verification from State agencies and other required entities for credentialing process. Answers and screens calls. Attends Medical and Credentials Committee meetings and assist in meeting package preparation. Efficiently monitors expiration of Practitioners’ credentials documents (NYS license, DEA, ACLS, Malpractice Insurance, etc. and the collections of all information. Performs other duties as requested. Has knowledge of Medical Staff Standards as per Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements.  Experience working with physician or other similar professionals.   Articulate ability to work in a fast paced high volume environment.  Minimum of two years clerical experience using computers, phone, and doing data entry. Excellent oral and written English communication skills required.  Has the ability to work independently. College coursework preferred.  High School Diploma or equivalent required.
