 Roles & Responsbilities:

 

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating adult and pediatric patients in the ENT clinic, under the supervision of an Otolarygologist. Performs admission and preadmission histories and physicals and minor procedures as assigned.  Assists in the handling of patient care and personnel emergencies  Performs pre-employment physical, evaluates and treats employees who become ill or injured at work.  Develops and/or participates in pilot studies, research projects and quality improvement activities. Draws blood, inserts catheters, intravenous lines and heparin locks, injects contrast dyes, approved IV meds, changes surgical dressings prescribes medications and other tests and treatments as part of the evaluation, care and treatment of patients as directed by their supervising physician.  Perform other related duties as required by the supervising physician. Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program required, Masters preferred.  Certification/ Licensure as a registered PA by the New York State Education Department. Must be BLS, ACLS, and PALS certified. Competent in surgical assisting for ENT cases. Bilingual in English/Spanish, English/Chinese, or English/Russian.
