Mount Sinai Heart Interview Day – Thursday, January 24th

 

On Thursday, January 24th, Mount Sinai is hosting an exclusive interview day. Join us for a day to explore endless opportunities for Nurse Leadership, NP’s, and RN’s within Mount Sinai Health System’s Cardiology Department.


The cardiology department at the Mount Sinai Hospital is ranked #10 in the nation for heart care by US News and World Report’s Best Hospitals in America, the Mount Sinai Health System is now the largest health care provider of comprehensive cardiovascular services spanning New York City. The Mount Sinai Hospital has received Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (2004-2008, 2009-2013, and 2014-2018), a prestigious honor achieved by only 6% of hospitals in the US.

 

In addition, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) has presented a gold-level Beacon Award for Excellence on the Coronary Care Unit (now known as the CICU/CSDU as of July 2018.) The gold-level Beacon Award for Excellence denotes excellent and continued performance along with enhancing patient experience. The CICU earned their gold award through leadership structures, learning and development, staffing engagement and effective communication.

Qualifications for our Clinical Director positions:

  • MSN Required
  • BSN Required
  • NYS RN Licensure
  • BCLS/ACLS required
  • 3-5 years of experience as a nursing leader in an acute care setting
  • 3-5 years of experience as a nurse in cardiac surgery 

Qualifications for our NP positions:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing
  • NYS RN and NP License and Registration
  • NP Certification
  • New grad NPs with 2+ years of experience in critical care nursing will be considered
  • DEA and NPI
  • ACLS/BLS & Infection Control Certificate

Qualifications for our Cardiac RN positions:

  • BSN Nursing required
  • ACLS/BCLS required
  • NYS RN Licensure
  • 1 to 2+ years of experience in Cardiac and Telemetry or Medical Surgical
  • CCU/ICU experience required for CTICU, Coronary Care, Cardiac Cath Lab and EP

Qualifications for our Interventional Radiology RN positions:

  • 2 to 3+ years of experience in critical care required
  • IR experience preferred
  • BSN Nursing required
  • ACLS/BCLS required
  • NYS RN Licensure
