New opening for a postdoctoral fellow to join a highly collaborative laboratory studying mechanisms by which polymorphisms in Apolipoprotein L1 predispose persons of African ancestry to HIV-induced kidney disease. Qualified applicants will have expertise in general molecular biology techniques including culture of mammalian cells, PCR, western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunostaining. Experience with managing/analyzing data generated by high throughput proteomic, genomic, and transcriptomic methods is also preferred but not required. Applicants will also be expected to be capable of planning and troubleshooting experiments and preparing manuscripts.
