Job Description

The successful candidate will be working in the laboratory of Dr. Matilde Inglese to develop advanced acquisition and analysis techniques for structural and functional MRI in humans. This research will be carried out on the human 7 Tesla and the 3 Tesla MRI scanners at the Hess Center in close collaboration with the Biomedical Imaging Center. The appointment will be for 1–2 years with possibility for extension based on performance and the availability of funding.
The postdoc will be expected to implement and/or develop acquisition methods to analyze structural, functional and metabolic data from specific groups of neurological patients in collaboration with clinicians and investigators involved in fMRI, DTI and PET imaging. The Lab has a strong interest in developing new algorithms for integrating neuroimaging modalities, laboratory and behavioral measures in neurological diseases.
The ideal candidate would hold a Ph.D. degree in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. This position requires experience in the acquisition and analysis of structural and functional MRI data and/or MR spectroscopy data. Candidates should be highly motivated and interested in working in an interdisciplinary environment. Strong written and oral English communication skills are required.
