Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to work on neurodegenerative tauopathies, including Alzheimer’s disease, age-related tauopathy and chronic traumatic encephalopathy.



The successful candidate must have experience with common molecular and cellular biology techniques (e.g., immunoblotting, cell culture, viral and plasmid vectors, PCR, QPCR, tissue sectioning, immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization and fluorescence microscopy).



Additional skills that are highly valued (but not required) include:

1. RNA biology

2. Neurogenetics

3. Drosophila as a model organism

4. Bioinformatics

5. Neuropathology

6. Stereology



Interested individuals will be encouraged to develop an independent research program and eventually apply for independent grant funding.



The applicant should have a recent PhD, MD or both.
