Job Description

The Translational and Molecular Imaging Institute (TMII) at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to develop neuroradiology visualization and image analysis techniques for the study
of neurological and psychiatric diseases. The candidate will join a team of technical and clinical experts in a highly collaborative environment at the newly constructed Hess Center for Science and Medicine. The research will be conducted under the supervision of Dr. Cheuk Y. Tang and will focus on the
application of virtual reality to neuroimaging and on the adaptation of machine learning algorithms for image analysis. Position responsibilities include independent research, authorship and contributions to publications and
grants, and leadership roles. A significant portion of the work will focus on image analysis techniques for 1) improving visualization of neuroimaging for surgical planning 2) interfacing with open-source software libraries for deep learning 3) developing high throughput image analysis pipelines to enable dimensional, trans-diagnostic study of neuropsychiatric disease. Work will
consist of acquisition of image data on patients and healthy volunteers, and analysis of acquired anatomical, diffusion-weighted and functional images. -The candidate should have a Ph.D. or M.D. with focused training in radiology, bioinformatics or related fields.
