Roles & Responsibilities
 
Provide escort and transportation duties as they pertain to patients and running errands to and from nursing units to different departments in support of quality patient care.
  • Transport patients safely and courteously to other departments and upon discharge from the hospital via wheelchairs, stretchers or ambulatory.   
  • Safely and efficiently deliver of supplies and specimens to and from the nursing units. 
  • Safely and efficiently pick-up and deliver blood specimens and medication.
  • Log-in all specimens as instructed and Inform staff of STAT specimens upon delivery to Laboratory. 
  • The delivery of interoffice mails to all areas to the hospital.
  • Adheres to universal precautions. 
Requirements: 
  • High School Diploma or GED
