Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Microbiology registration and preparation of send outs as well as entering Microbiology results into the system.  Clinical Chemistry running tests and reporting results.  Hematology running CBC’s, as well as reading peripheral blood smears and reporting results.  Performing Urinalysis is also required.  Performs routine and advanced testing in chemistry and hematology labs according to approved procedures and techniques.  Basic knowledge of clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, and Hematology testing, principles and instrumentation required.  Must have good computer skills and able to multi-task.  Able to work in a small lab with few technologists and able to interact with doctors, patients and nurses.  At least 6 years of experience preferred.  Licensed as a clinical laboratory technologist or technician in NYS (ASCP).  BS in biology/medical technology preferred.  Management experience preferred.
