The Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Medical Director, Employed Physician Engagement and Clinical Transformation to join the Mount Sinai Health Partners in Manhattan!

Role Summary:
MSHP seeks a Medical Director (MD), Physician Engagement- Employed, who will be responsible for physician engagement and, as assigned, clinical transformation activities of select employed practices in the MSHP Independent Practice Association (IPA) or Mount Sinai Clinically Integrated Network (CIN).  The MD will report to and work closely with the Senior Medical Director, Population Health (PH), to achieve key quality and utilization management objectives with our employed primary care practices, and select specialty practices.  This MD will also work closely on clinical transformation with Senior Medical Director and the Chief Medical Officer, Population Health.  This will help establish and hardwire processes to drive excellence in efficiency of care, quality and accurate risk adjustment for all populations served, especially our patients covered under a Medicare arrangement (MSSP or MA).

Responsibilities:
Effective relationship building with primary care clinical and administrative leadership throughout MSHS
Establish a deep understanding of their needs and concerns, and succinctly relay consensus feedback to MSHP senior and executive leaders
Establish a peer level credibility with primary care clinical and administrative leadership
Co-lead preparation pod and practice meetings (>30 per year)
Present and facilitate pod and practice meetings (>30 per year)
As appropriate, directly respond to provider/administrator/practice requests from meetings and ad-hoc communications
Help administer the Value-Based care bonus program for PCPs (IM, FP and Geriatrics) 
Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications: 
Education and Experience Requirement
MD or DO degree, Internal medicine or Family medicine residency trained, board certified required 
Experience in primary care delivery and passion for primary care excellence required
Experience as a medical director, quality director, or similar role with responsibility for the creation, operation, and oversight of quality and efficiency programs, preferred
Experience in clinical transformation: developing and implementing quality programs, care pathways, clinical guidelines and best clinical and operational practices in primary care
