Roles & Responsibilities:

 

This position is responsible for leading and directing the day to day activities; including shipping, receiving, warehousing, transportation, production, inventory control and safety.


     

  • Establishes and maintains proper fixed supply par levels and maintains integrity of physical inventory.

     
  • Orders inventory supplies from vendors according to fixed par levels and monitors storage of items in safe and proper location.

     
  • Does periodic physical inventory cycle checks to maintain correct inventory on hand balances.

     
  • Monitors and confirms requisition requests are accurate before delivery.

     
  • Works with Director in selecting, developing, supervising, and evaluating department staff.

     
  • Establishes and maintains Quality Control standards of department operation.

     
  • Coordinates with user departments the quantity and delivery of supplies according to inventory and space allocation levels.

     
  • Develops and educates staff on policies and procedures related to improvement and continuous operational updates.

     
  • Coordinates and problem solves with hospital unit supervisors regarding improvements in the requisitioning and flow of supplies.

  • Performs performance evaluation and competency assessment.

     

 

Requirements:

 

  • A High School graduate or equivalent – an Associate Degree from an accredited institution would be preferred. 
  • Five years of Materials Management experience
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
