The Registrar is responsible for the business aspect of the patient's visit to the ambulatory practice. Activities include: registration, insurance verification and notification, updating of financial and demographic information, scanning, scheduling patient appointment, answering telephone and pages appropriate people. Assist with cashiering duties by accepting clinic payments.
- Actively greet patients, families and co-workers
- Perform accurate search of the MS to identify any previous patient visits, to avoid duplication of medical records numbers.
- Verify third party payment
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
- Explain payment options
- Education: High School Diploma/GED.
- Experience: 6 months of healthcare experience preferred
- Experience performing data entry (patient demographic data) in health care environment preferred.
- Ability to interact with patients and caregivers.
- Bilingual a plus
- Will work in both Call Center and Clinic
