Roles & Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of your job position is to establish and monitor therapeutic plans of care utilizing available support staff to maximize the delivery of therapeutic services with significant outcome in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. 1. Evaluate, establish, implement, and monitor therapeutic plans of care.
2. 2. Monitor and effectively document patient progress.
3. 3. Design functional maintenance programs.
4. 4. Complete all paperwork accurately and timely (weekly notes, billing grids, time sheets, etc.)
5. 5. Supervise therapy assistants and rehab aides' performance and provide instructive input.
6. 6. Direct and aid patient in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education and functional training using pulleys and weights as needed to facilitate o daily living.
7.7. Communicate effectively and regularly with patients, families and interdisciplinary team.
Bachelor Degree in Science in Occupational Therapy
Minimum 5 years of experience
Current New York State OT
Certified Hand Therapist a plus
