Roles & Responsibilities:
The Electrician must be skilled in the performance of all phases of
electrical repair and maintenance and be able to troubleshoot problems, collect
data, establish facts and present a valid conclusion. Must be proficient in preventative
maintenance. Must be competent in the
ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, diagrams, procedure
manuals, and motor controls. Demonstrates
the required knowledge and safe use of tools and equipment, adheres to safety
rules and regulations. Must have a working
knowledge of the New York City Electrical Code.
Ability to work independently or with co-workers without supervision is
required. Will work in all areas of
the hospital and school with courtesy and a professional awareness. Must have the ability to perform all duties
on ladders and lifts, indoors and outdoors, as well as being able to lift a
maximum of 50lbs. Ability to work with
and around high voltage up to 13.2 KVA required. Must have 5 years trade experience and 3
years hospital experience. High school
