· Identify and localize changes in gene expression associated with sleep deprivation and circadian modulation of memory at the sub-circuit and neuronal level using deep transcriptome sequencing, isoform expression analysis, QPCR and in situ hybridization.
· Behavioral pharmacology, circadian analysis and protein biochemistry also will be used to test potential signaling mechanisms modulated during memory formation.
· Experience with molecular biology, fluorescent microscopy, genome-wide expression assays and bioinformatics is preferred
