Job Title: Physician Assistant
Roles & Responsbilities:
The Ambulatory Care Serv-Eye Clinic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is responsible for the elective perioperative process for surgical patients at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. The NP/PA conducts comprehensive health assessments, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and expert skill in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of complex responses of individuals to actual or potential health problems. The NP/PA functions professionally under a practice agreement with the supervising physicians and operationally under the Nurse Manager of the Ambulatory Care Serv- ENT Clinic. Must be a graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with certification. Master of Science in Nursing required. Must have current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Minimum of 5 years clinical perioperative experience and 2 years of experience in the NP or PA role preferred. Must be currently licensed in New York State.
