A postdoctoral position is available immediately to join a laboratory investigating pathogenesis and control of HIV in a mouse model. The opening includes research on the induction of protective innate immune responses that prevent or control HIV replication and the molecular pathways through which this protection acts. The laboratory investigates HIV natural history and disease development broadly, primarily through assays of virus growth, immune induction, activation of host gene pathways, and cognitive disease.
The successful candidate has a doctoral degree with extensive research experience either in virology, immunology, or molecular biology; work with mice would be a considerable asset.
