POST DOCTORAL FELLOW
A postdoctoral position is now available in the laboratory of Dr. Nina Bhardwaj. This opportunity is designed to dissect innate and adaptive immune mechanisms in cancers of the head and neck.
Project Goal: (1). To gain experience in predicting neoantigens from tumor specimens, (2). To participate in designing neoantigenic epitopes for vaccine trials in patients with head and neck cancers,
(3). To develop new assays to monitor vaccine responses (4). To evaluate the tumor microenvironment in depth.
Qualifications: Interested candidates should have recent Ph.D. in immunology, virology, molecular biology or related fields.
The candidate is also expected to be highly self-motivated, creative and capable of contributing productively in a team environment. Excellent communication skills in written and oral English are essential. Knowledge of basic and advanced immunology and experience in immunological techniques e.g. cell culture, T cell assays, flow cytometry, molecular biology approaches. Experience with human cancer models and/or chronic infection models desirable. Candidate should have knowledge and familiarity with murine and human DC isolation and related functional assays.
