Postdoctoral fellow to join a multidisciplinary team working on the genetics of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. The lab uses genome-wide association data and whole genome sequencing data to identify novel disease risk/protective genes and to model the effects of these genes in ISPC-derived neural/glial cells.
BA/BSc in biology, neuroscience, genetics/genomics, computer science, mathematics, or statistics. PhD in genetics/genomics or allied area of quantitative biology. Independent thinker
Skills: Strong quantitative skills; good computer programming skills, facile in handling large datasets and knowledge of genetics and genomics required. Wet- lab skills in molecular biology and/or tissue culture/stem cell culture and differentiation an asset but not essential. Good oral and written communication skills.
I am looking for someone preferably who has recently completed their PhD and may have one or two years of experience. I will consider more experienced people with exactly the right skill set.
