Job Title: Physician Assistant

 

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ø  To practice as autonomous provider, as well as in tandem with supervising physicians in the scope of practice of the supervising physician for Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology- FPA practice.
  • Ø  Will maintain care of established patients in the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology, with specific purview of general gynecology pathologies, and contraception management, management of pap smears/HPV, and regular preventative care.
  • Ø  Responsible for in-office procedures of endometrial biopsies, IUD insertion/removal, external genital biopsy, and colposcopy.
  • Ø  First Assist for procedures done in office procedure room- hysteroscopy, LEEP, and other associated in-office procedures.
  • Ø  Triage emergency calls in the practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology during hours of 8:30 am to 5 pm.
  • Ø  Manage all pre-op and post-op care for patients in the practices of Obstetrics and Gynecology during hours of 8:30 am to 5 pm, through the ambulatory practice.
  • Ø  Manage all test results and follow-up care for established patients in the practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology for supervising physicians and personal patients.
  • Ø  Contribute to academic studies and research conducted through the Department of Gynecology and Urogynecology.
