Postdoctoral fellow to join a multidisciplinary team working on the genetics of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. The lab uses genome-wide association data and whole genome sequencing data to identify novel disease risk/protective genes and to model the effects of these genes in iSPC-derived neural/glial cells and mice using genome editing technologies. The lab also participates in drug discovery efforts by performing target discovery and validation as well as assay development for drug screening.
BA/BSc in biology, neuroscience, genetics/genomics. PhD in biology, neuroscience, genetics/genomics. Independent thinker.
Wet-lab skills in molecular and cell biology; experience working with cell lines for assay development in multi-well plate format; experience working with engineered mice and performing immunohistochemistry. Dry-lab skills in analysis of gene expression and image data. Good oral and written communication skills.
