Job Description

The Seaver Autism Center offers comprehensive assessment and care for people with autism spectrum disorder. Our multisciplinary team of experts uses genetics, molecular biology, model systems, neuroimaging, and experimental therapeutics to treat each patient. We also provide opportunities to participate in an integrated series of research studies aimed at understanding the causes of autism spectrum conditions and developing treatments. We actively collaborate with members of the research community at Mount Sinai, as well as with various institutions and consortia throughout the U.S. and the world.

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team as a post-doctoral research fellow and contribute to the novel research being done in the Seaver Center and at Mount Sinai.

The Post-Doc is expected to be involved in research activities that will include developing and preparing grant applications conducting research literature reviews, conducting statistical analyses, and writing manuscripts. S/he must possess knowledge and experience in a range of advanced quantitative analyses (e.g., hierarchical linear modeling, structural equation modeling, item response theory, growth curve analysis, etc), population based study designs and excellent writing skills. S/he must have a PhD in psychology or biostatistics or related fields.

Responsibilities include data management and analysis, and scientific writing. 

Supervise junior staff.

Ph.D./PsyD Psychology or related field

2 years in research environment

Strong communication and writing skills.
