What You’ll Do:

 

A Senior Associate Researcher position is currently available in the lab of Dr. Hanna Irie within Tisch Cancer Institute, division of Hematology/Medical Oncology.  The lab focuses on research to study novel drivers of triple negative breast cancer growth.  The Senior Associate Researcher will independently conduct research experiments to support ongoing projects using advanced techniques, analyze and interpret highly complex results, and review and present data for publication and/or presentation.  He/she will also assist postdoctoral fellows and students within the lab with their ongoing projects.  The Senior Associate Researcher will report directly to a Principal Investigator (PI). 

 

Duties/responsibilities:

  • Conducts a variety of research experiments using advanced research techniques
  • Coordinates project activities to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborates with the Principal Investigator in the development of new experiments and research techniques.
  • Assists in the implementation of standardized protocols for experiments and training purposes.
  • Assists the Principal Investigator with publications by extracting and compiling data; reviewing and editing articles for publication.
  • Mentors and trains less experienced research staff and graduate students.
  • Ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs other related duties
 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in sciences or related field; Master’s Degree in sciences or related field preferred
  • 5 years in a research environment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Effective teamwork as well as motivational supervision of others
