Job Description

Postdoctoral fellow will work and train within the multidisciplinary environment of the Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism Institute of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York with the laboratory of Dr. Susan K. Fried. Projects address the cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating adipose tissue distribution in mice and humans with a focus on glucocorticoid effects on adipose tissue growth and remodeling, as well as metabolism. Job Qualifications:

 

-          Experience with mammalian cell culture and basic molecular methods

-          Knowledge of the fields of metabolism, obesity, diabetes. 

-          Experience with flow cytometry, FACS, histology and immunocytochemistry desirable

-          Prior experience with adipocyte biology is a plus. 

-          Publication record

 

Education:

-          PhD (or equivalent) in a biomedical field.
