What You’ll Do:


Seeking a Medical Physicist to work with a dynamic and talented physics group. Responsibilities include:

A.1. External beam Treatment Planning

Assist the technology staff in the implementation of treatment plans.     

Participates in the audit/review of patient treatment folders.

A.2. External beam quality assurance, calibration, special measurements

Calibrates radiation therapy treatment machines.

Participates in the application of specific methods of dosimetry, such as ion chamber, , or film, special clinical problems.

Design and performs IMRT, SRS, SBRT  plan verifications.

Performs radiation therapy treatment machine quality assurance and calibration.     

Performs special dose calculation and in-vivo patient dosimetry.   

A.3. Brachytherapy
Calibrates radioactive isotopes

Participates in intracavitary and interstitial sealed source implant loading.     

A.4. Research and Development
A.6. Teach Radiation Oncology residents
What You’ll Bring:
  • Board-certification (preferred),
  • NYS Physicist license (must have or be eligible for NYS license)
  • MS or PhD degree
  • Exposure to all areas of radiation oncology
  • Commitment to implementing new technology
  • Excellent communication skills
