What you'll do:
The Paralegal performs legal research, analyzes legal opinions and/or prepares legal documents. Drafts affidavits, contracts and other legal documents and reviews documents and ensures the confidentiality of privileged materials and information.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Collaborates in the conduction of legal research to determine the applicability of statutes, case law, rules and regulations to organizational matters.
2. Analyzes legal opinions and administrative or court rulings that may impact the organization.
3. Reviews documents for compliance with procedural requirements.
4. Prepares draft and final letters, memoranda, affidavits, contracts, resolutions and other legal documents.
5. Performs routine processing of legal documents.
6. Maintains confidential and privileged information and materials provided or disclosed in the course of work.
7. Maintains legal document files.
8. Other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring:
Associate’s degree in paralegal studies from an accredited school of paralegal training
Two years in a legal office environment.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Excellent presentation skills
Knowledge of Westlaw or Lexis legal research system
Demonstrated ability to analyze factual situations, apply legal principles and perform legal research
