Roles & Responsibilities:


·         Responsible for production and preparation of patient meals according to Production sheets and recipe cards, following proper food handling procedures and all sanitary guidelines according to regulatory agencies standards

·         Responsible for preparation and distribution of menu items for CTS, Cafeteria, Catering and Special Functions.

·         Follows standardized recipes for all menu items

·         Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment as per policy.

·         Will follow safety guidelines in operating all cooking equipment.

·         Prepares designated items for following day’s menu requirements.

·         Responsible for all menu items being at proper temperature before leaving the kitchen or to service lines in Cafeteria and Tray line.

·         Performance of all duties of a cook’s position in the Production





·         At least (2) years of institutional cooking experience required

·         HS Diploma or GED required

·         Good working knowledge of sanitation and safety procedure of both food and equipment

·         Ability to comprehend standardized recipes and instructions

·         Able to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language

·         Able to stand for long periods of time.

·         Able to endure temperature changes in work area.

·         Able to lift and push heavy equipment.
