Job Description

The Raj Laboratory at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai seeking a passionate individual to investigate the genetics of neurodegenerative disease. We are using advanced genomic and computational approaches to identify novel drivers of disease pathogenesis. This NIH-funded project focuses on understanding the overlap between Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and other brain diseases. The candidate will join a highly productive research team that includes geneticists, computational biologists, cell biologists and physician-scientists at the Loeb Center. The successful candidate will play an active role in deploying next-generation sequencing data (DNA and RNA) and correlating with novel endophenotypes to elucidate pathogenic drivers.

Job Qualifications:
1. Candidates should have a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent doctorate in a quantitative field such as statistical genetics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, computer science, or a related discipline.
2. Candidates should have proficiency in programming (e.g. Perl, Python or C/C++) and statistical computing (e.g. R).
3. Candidates should have a track record of scientific productivity and/or leadership.
