Job Description

Bioinformatical analyses of next generation sequencing datasets from DNA and chromatin analyses from brain tissue, wet lab experiments to study epigenomic regulation in brain tissue

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. generate genome maps (from chromatin-bound RNA) including selected genomic loci for normal and diseased mouse brain and postmortem brain tissue
2. Analyses large datsets including PsychENCODE, mENCODE and ENCODE in conjunction with epigenome maps generated in the laboratory
3. Write papers and grants on the regulation of higher order chromatin in brain, and how it may contribute to cognitive abilities unique to human, and potential changes in mouse models for human disease

Performs other related duties. Education:
PhD in Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, Neuroscience, or any field related to these.

General molecular biology knowledge, able to work in team, able to communicate and present at lab meetings.
