Job Description

This position is for a postdoctoral fellow in the Kiraly Laboratory at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The position will involve carrying out research examining neuroimmunological and metabolomic effects of gut microbiome manipulations on translational models of neuropsychiatric disease. Candidates are expected to hold a PhD degree and have some experience in animal models using rodent models as well as at least basic wet lab experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Animal handling and behavior
Fecal/serum/brain sample collection
RNA and DNA analyses to determine gene expression
Protein biochemistry
Data analysis
Manuscript prepartion

Performs other related duties.
Education:
PhD or MD

Experience:
No experience beyond achieving a doctoral degree is required, but doctoral degree is required.

Computer and General Skills:
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office as well as data analysis with R/Matlab/SPSS/Graphpad Prism or other commonly used statistical analysis software.
Excellent written and oral communication.
