Job Title:  Volunteer Coordinator

Roles & Responsibilities:

Schedules, assigns work to, recruits, interviews, evaluates and provides recommendations regarding the hiring, disciplining or discharging of subordinate secretary and volunteer assistants. 
Interacts with volunteer supervisors throughout the Medical Center in reference to volunteer job performance. 
Meets with volunteers on a regular basis in order to discuss their job satisfaction, work problems and reassignments. 
Coordinates and conducts the orientation program for new volunteers and reviews department and Medical Center policies and procedures with them. 
Keeps monthly statistics on the number of volunteers employed, their allocation and turnover. 
Participates in developing and administering policies and procedures for Volunteer Services. 
Represents department on various hospital committees, i.e. Blood Donor Recruitment Committee. 
Fills in for Director in his/her absence and has full authority. 



Education: Minimum: Bachelor’s degree with 2 yrs. experience or equivalent; MSW preferred
