Job Title:  Social Worker – Psychiatry

  

Roles & Responsibilities:

In the Child Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic, the worker in this position will function as part of an interdisciplinary team providing comprehensive mental health assessment and treatment to children and adolescents who meet DSM-V criteria for a psychiatric disorder. Collateral work with caregivers and families and strong community collateral work is an integral part of the role. Therapeutic modalities include individual, family and group therapies. This position will require some evening hours.


 Requirements: 


New York State LCSW preferred.
Bilingual (English.Spanish) required.
Experience working with mentally ill children and their families.
Training in evidence-based treatment methods with children and adolescents.
Experience with Administration for Children’s Services (ACS)/foster care, Department of Education (DOE), Office of Mental Health (OMH), Children’s Single Point of Access (CSPOA), Health Home and community-based child mental health services.
Individual, family, and group treatment skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary treatment team.
