Job Title:  Social Worker – Psychiatry


Roles & Responsibilities:

The Partial Hospital Program in Psychiatry has an opening for a Social Worker experienced in providing short term, intensive individual, group and family therapy to patients who are experiencing an acute exacerbation of psychiatric symptoms. In addition to these treatment modalities, the Social Worker will be responsible for crisis intervention, intakes/screenings, discharge planning, and administrative duties, as assigned, while participating in ongoing milieu development activities. 

The Partial Programs is located in space Mount Sinai leases at Terence Cardinal Cooke on East 106th Street between Fifth and Madison.


New York State LCSW preferred.
Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills, including knowledge of the DSM 5.
Experience providing crisis intervention and ongoing individual, group and family therapy to patients who are acutely ill.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary staff in a highly demanding environment.
Ability to meet all reporting and record-keeping mandates.
