The Course Coordinator will partner with course directors to ensure that medical students and faculty participating in medical school courses receive the support, attention and information required to manage their education and development. The Coordinator will be a vital member of the Curriculum Support team and will report to the Office of Curriculum Support Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities:


1. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of courses and serve as the liaison between students and faculty
2. Prepare, distribute, and track course materials and assignments; manage course-related correspondence
3. Assist in coordinating details for course activities, from space allocation to evaluations
4. Track and maintain faculty teaching time
5. Attend and staff committee meetings
6. Manage course related expenses and financial transactions
7. Develop and implement processes and procedures to streamline and enhance services provided by the Office of Curriculum Support
8. Participate in the planning and support of student events
9. Support the administration of various committees, i.e., meeting coordination, communications and follow-up
10. Effectively communicate resources, policies, and guidelines to staff, faculty, and students
11. Develop and maintain course/organization pages in the curriculum management system, and other educational IT needs
12. Cross train and support other team members
13. Perform other duties as part of a collaborative team

  
Requirements:

 

Education
Associate’s degree required; BA/BS preferred

Experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrates commitment to teamwork and collaboration
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Initiative to seek alternative approaches and solutions
• Ability to multi-task and complete work in required timelines
• Attention to detail
• Computer and database proficiency
