Roles & Responsibilities:

The Physician’s Assistant will carry out gynecological exams, including cervical pap tests, and anal swabs. The PA will also evaluate physical signs, symptoms and medical history to assess patient’s physical condition. Tasks and responsibilities may include: referring study participants to outside providers when necessary and attending project meetings with the Research Program Coordinator and the Director of Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation. Furthermore, the PA will work closely with the Clinical Research Coordinator to complete patient study visits. 



Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Assist providers with procedures

2. Obtain blood pressures, heights, weights, and determine body mass indices

3. Participate in Center wide quality assurance and quality improvement

4. STI Recall

5. Pap smear follow-up

6. Inventory management



 


 

Requirements:

Education:

Baccalaureate degree required.

A certificate to practice as a Physician's Assistants issued by the State Board of Medical Quality Assurance. Valid BCLS, ACLS, and PALS.
