Job Description

The Translational and Molecular Imaging Institute (TMII) at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to work on a highly innovative NIH funded project on fluorine MRI of cardiovascular disease. The goals of this NIH project is to track the migration of immune cells from hematopoietic organs during atherosclerosis progression, and after a cardiovascular event, using novel multiplex fluorine MRI techniques in a mouse animal model of disease. Specific tasks will include:
• Development of novel MR sequences and reconstruction algorithm for fluorine cardiovascular MRI
• Data acquisition and analysis for MRI and PET
• Results interpretation and presentation using already existing image analysis software packages
• Writing of manuscripts and grant proposals
• Work together with a research technician to collect ex vivo results for validation of in vivo imaging
• Perform other related work as required
