Job Title: Marketing Manager - Freelance
 
 
Roles & Responsibilities:
 
The Freelance Marketing Manager will work closely with several members of the Central Marketing Department on a wide range of projects. The Manager will assist in coordinating national conferences, providing marketing support for the medical school campaign, promoting product lines and ambulatory care services in the NY Metropolitan Area and beyond. The successful candidate will adhere to Marketing Department practices and plans while raising Mount Sinai’s visibility at national conferences. As part of the Central Marketing Department, the Manager will be part of a team of professionals who are focused on brand building related to US News & World Report rankings. Qualifications for this role includes: outstanding attention to detail, proficiency with MS Office Suite, strong project management experience, as well as excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Marketing support: Assist with the execution of marketing projects across the Health System as needed.  
    • Coordinate the creation of promotional collateral (i.e. brochures, resource guides, branded giveaways and advertisements), events, participation in campaign development and direct mail outreach.
    • Develop PowerPoint presentations and Excel reports that highlight progress and outcomes on a range of projects.
  • National Conferences: Assist with all aspects of Mount Sinai’s participation in national medical conferences.
    • Assist with internal coordination of service line staff as well as external coordination with conference staff at various associations.
    • Provide support for US News specialties and priority areas as chosen by leadership.
    • Evaluate and recommend onsite marketing opportunities for each conference.
    • Additional activities may include planning, logistics, shipping, budget management and post-conference follow up.
    • May require some travel to support various conferences and events as needed.
  • Network Development Support: Support marketing projects across Network Development medical practices including collateral, direct mail, event assistance, campaign development and competitor analysis.
    • Track and expedite materials for development and execution of planned and ad hoc Network marketing projects, including but not limited to: signs, websites, advertisements, brochures, handouts, patient letters, press releases, letterhead, business cards, lab coats, web site copy, and website images.
    • Work collaboratively with internal Signage Manager, internal stakeholders, Creative, Digital and Press departments.
    • Traffic and expedite copy and creative assets for review and approval by Mount Sinai departments including stakeholders, creative team, external partners, and vendors and track against timelines and deadlines.
    • Supervise photo shoots, research images and fact check as needed for websites and collateral materials.
    • Track project request forms from ND stakeholders, work with ND stakeholders to ensure they are complete; prepare print requisitions and track projects with MS Print Shop.
    • Assist with analysis of ND marketing campaign performance and patients seen at ND practices.
  • Other marketing duties as needed.
  
Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing preferred or related field
    • Minimum 2-3 years in Project Management, Event Planning, and Marketing experience
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate level)
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
