Associate Researcher - 2311654

 
The incumbent will assist in the various ongoing human and small animal imaging projects. The main task is to assist with MRI imaging (human and rodents) and occasionally other modalities. Job duties will include image acquisition, subject preparation, image analysis and archival. The incumbent will also assist in coordinating with the various PI’s for access to imaging services, scheduling and data delivery. He/she will also assist in image analysis on an as needed basis.
 
 
Roles & Responsibilities:
  1. Maintains a safe laboratory environment and ensures that direct reports follow safety procedures
  2. Participates in research of current scientific literature for research protocols and stays informed of the latest developments in the particular field of investigation.  Provides assistance in the preparation of scientific papers, reports, manuscripts, and grant proposals. 
  3. Works with research scientists, physicians and lab research and technical personnel within the institution and like institutions to encourage a creative exchange of knowledge to benefit research in the medical field and other scientific areas.

Requirements:

 

  • Entry level position: recent graduate welcome
  • Bachelor of Science in a related field (Physics, Engineering, Biology, Neuroscience, Psychology, Computer Science).
  • Good organizational an analytical skills
  • Animal (rodents) handling experience a plus (will train)
  • Imaging experience a plus (will train)
