Roles & Responsibilities: 

 

The Trainee is an entry level individual or student who is generally engaged for a limited time to learn specific administrative and operational processes, depending on department or program. The Trainee is used for various entry positions or support in both Hospital and School locations.

The candidate for this position will work on a project investigating how interactions between B cells inhabiting the mesenteric adipose tissue, adipocytes and stromal cells contribute to gut homeostasis. This homeostasis is crucial to prevent inflammatory bowel disease, the incidence and prevalence of which has been increasing worldwide.

The candidate will work with mouse models as well as human samples with inflammatory bowel disease with a focus on using the following methods: immunofluorescence microscopy, Western blot, cell culture and RNA isolation.

There will not be any patient contact and is only for research work.
