Industrial Hygienist I, Environmental Medicine and Public Health

The Industrial Hygienist I is devoted to the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, prevention, and control of those environmental factors or stresses arising in or from the workplace which may cause sickness, impaired health and well being, or significant discomfort among workers or among citizens of the community. The Industrial Hygienist I evaluates workplace environmental factors, as requested by clinic physicians, patients, health and safety representatives or individuals contacting the clinic. Such evaluations may include on-site job evaluations, interviews of patients or individuals, either in person or via the phone.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred in public health or another related health science field or engineering. Experience may substitute for the degree when the experiences are closely related to the duties of the job.
- Experience: Three years of experience in Industrial Hygiene or a similar field
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and assignments
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
