Roles & Responsibilities:

The senior scientist will use biochemical, biophysical and molecular approaches to determine accurate binding constants and inhibitory potencies of the small molecules. He/she will maintain detailed records and make internal presentations to the drug discovery team. 

 
 
Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree (PhD) in molecular biology, biochemistry or related field
  • Minimum five years of experience with scientific investigation
  • Must have the ability to design, execute, analyze and troubleshoot cell free in vitro biochemical assays
  • Must be willing to learn and adapt new technologies/instrumentation to achieve project goals
  • Must have demonstrated outstanding experimental skills using a variety of assay formats
  • Must have contributed to a number of peer-reviewed publications
  • Must maintain impeccable records of raw and processed data, make detailed and accurate spreadsheets with plots, and be able to accurately communicate findings in internal presentations
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality of the project
  • Prior experience standardizing low and medium throughput screens to enable scaling to HTS, is highly desirable
