Roles & Responsibilities:
The Associate Researcher is responsible for conducting and assisting routine and standardized experiments specific to a project that identifies and investigates novel genomics, epigenomics and transcriptomic changes related to physical activity. The candidate will work with researchers from multiple centers across the country to coordinate various aspects of the project. Specific duties are listed as follows.
  • Under minimum supervision, performs automated DNA and RNA extractions from peripheral blood and tissues
  • Automated DNA, RNA, ATAC, and methylation sequence library preparations and sequencing
  • Responsible for entering data into various databases
  • Must be a motivated team player
  • Must be analytical and possess excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
  • Any other related as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Molecular/Cellular Biology or related field is preferred.
  • 0-2 year of research/laboratory experience
  • Appropriate verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
