IT Manager 

Roles & Responsibilities: 
The Oracle Cloud ERP/HCM Training Lead’s mission is to lead and oversee the design, development and implementation of all training for the ERP/HCM Team [a complex, cross-functional, multi-platform Oracle cloud-based ERP application]. This individual will be Mount Sinai Health System’s subject matter expert on end-user training for the Oracle cloud applications, which will include HCM, Finance and Supply Chain applications.

As an Oracle Cloud Training Lead, you will lead a team of trainers (2) and work in a matrix organization to partner with the Implementation and Change Management Team. You should be passionate about the quality of what you do with an intense desire to continue to make everything you are involved in better. You should be ready to work hard but have a lot fun doing it!

Day to day responsibilities include:
  • Become an expert in the Oracle HCM, Financial, Supply Chain functionality across functional teams to stay current with rapidly evolving enhancements 
  • Own development of training schedule, required documentation, and knowledge transfers between vendor experts and ultimate MSHS owners
  • Work cross-functionally with others to understand new features or functionalities of the system
  • Administer Learning Management System (LMS) including content building, communication, and implementation
  • Create and maintain training surveys
  • Effectively partner with MSHS and third-party business and technical resources
  • Guide and mentor staff in a matrix organization
  • Make recommendations on incorporating best business practices into the system or effecting required change management
  • Manage interrelationships between multiple projects and work objectives
  • Learn and quickly master new product functionality
  • Teach a variety of classes, both Instructor Led and Virtual Instructor Led
  • Apply facilitation techniques to share your knowledge - providing students with the tools to be a successful Oracle customer
  • Use dynamic presentation skills to engage your students and improve their learning experience
  • Collaborate with content development team to make improvements to course structure, content, and delivery methods
  • Build relationships with other instructors and across teams to share best practices, drive innovation and meet goals
  • Ability to communicate concepts in a concise, logical manner so students can absorb and retain
  • Passion for learning, teaching, and mastering complex system functionality
  • Ability to comfortably and confidently present to groups of 20+ people using a variety of delivery methods for lengthy periods of time
  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training


Education: Bachelor’s Degree


  • 7-10 years’ experience in a corporate learning environment
  • 5 years’ experience developing training strategy and designing training programs for introduction of complex enterprise-wide technology into corporate environment
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Commitment to “Concierge Level Service” and continuous improvement
  • Commitment to continual growth and understanding of the industry

  • Working knowledge of eLearning development technologies and Learning Management Systems [e.g., Taleo, SCORM etc.]
  • Strong desire to keep abreast of best practices and industry developments as they pertain to the role
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic and passion to succeed
